Our Approach

Circular manufacturing is not waste management with better branding. It is a fundamentally different way of thinking about biological resources.

We start by understanding the molecular composition of biological side streams. We then design extraction, purification and conversion processes that recover specific target materials at the quality levels required by downstream applications. The result is new supply chains for high-value biomolecules, bio-based materials and renewable inputs, sourced from materials that would otherwise be discarded.

Marine Biomass Valorisation

Fish processing operations generate significant volumes of skins, scales, frames and viscera. These materials are rich in collagen, gelatin, hydroxyapatite, omega-3 fatty acids and other valuable biomolecules.

We have developed extraction and purification technologies that recover collagen from marine by-products, forming the basis of our Aquacol ingredient platform and contributing source materials for Regenixa. Our marine biomass programmes are designed to validate circular approaches to biological resource recovery at commercially relevant scales.

Agricultural residues, agro-industrial waste streams and food processing by-products represent underutilized resources with significant recovery potential. We evaluate, design and validate recovery processes for proteins, polysaccharides, fibres and other functional materials from these sources.
