About Declutter Solutions
Where Science Meets Sustainability
Declutter Solutions integrates biotechnology, materials science and circular engineering to develop advanced biomaterials that improve healthcare outcomes and enable sustainable manufacturing.

Purpose
We exist to unlock the latent value in biological systems.
Every year, millions of tonnes of biological resources from fisheries, agriculture, and industrial processing are discarded as waste. These materials contain complex biomolecules, including collagen, proteins, and polysaccharides, that have profound applications in healthcare, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing.
Declutter Solutions was founded to recover, engineer, and commercialize these materials, transforming what is discarded into what heals, protects, and sustains.
Mission
To transform waste into value by recovering what others discard and engineering it into advanced biomaterials that drive healthcare innovation while creating measurable environmental impact.
Vision
A world where biological resources are fully valued, where healthcare materials are sustainably sourced, and where manufacturing contributes to ecosystem regeneration rather than degradation.
Our Story
Founded in 2021 in Coimbatore, the company started as a waste management and environmental consultancy. But the founding insight was always deeper. What if the biological materials being sent to landfill could be recovered, purified and engineered into advanced biomaterials for healthcare and manufacturing?
Declutter Solutions began inside biological waste facilities. Our founder, Nitu Joseph, spent years working within fish processing plants and slaughterhouse waste streams as an environmental engineer.
The experience revealed something that most saw only as a disposal problem: these waste streams contained high-value biomolecules, including collagen, that were being discarded at industrial scale.
Founded in 2021 in Coimbatore, the company started as a waste management and environmental consultancy. But the founding insight was always deeper. What if the biological materials being sent to landfill could be recovered, purified, and engineered into advanced biomaterials for healthcare and manufacturing?
That question led to the development of Aquacol, a marine collagen ingredient extracted from fishery by-products, and ultimately to Regenixa, a regenerative collagen biomaterial platform for chronic wound healing.
Today, what started as an environmental insight is becoming an advanced materials company.
What Makes Us Different
Vertically Integrated
We control the value chain from biological resource recovery through extraction, purification, material engineering, characterisation and process scale up. This integration enables quality control, cost efficiency and supply chain resilience that fragmented models cannot achieve.
Circular by Design
Our raw materials are sourced from biological side streams that would otherwise be discarded. Every product we develop reduces environmental burden while creating healthcare or industrial value.
Translational Focus
We do not conduct research for its own sake. Every programme is designed with a clear pathway to regulatory clearance, manufacturing readiness and commercial deployment.
Multidisciplinary
Our team integrates expertise across biotechnology, environmental engineering, materials science, process engineering and clinical translation. This breadth allows us to see opportunities and solve problems that single-discipline teams miss.
Leadership
Nitu Joseph brings a background in energy and environmental engineering with years of operational experience inside fish processing and biological waste facilities. Her work inside these industrial environments revealed the founding insight behind Declutter: that high value biomolecules, including collagen, were being discarded at scale and could be recovered, purified and engineered into advanced materials for healthcare. She leads technology development, product strategy and research partnerships across all verticals.
Sreechanth Sundaram oversees operations, field programmes and geospatial services. His expertise in GIS and remote sensing supports Declutter's environmental consulting, resource mapping and community programme implementation. He manages operational delivery across the company's waste management, circular manufacturing and sustainability programme verticals.
Madhusree has a background in biotechnology with a strong interest in sustainable biomaterials and healthcare innovation. She has hands-on experience in marine collagen extraction, protein characterization, molecular biology, microbiology, and analytical techniques such as SDS-PAGE, HPLC, ultrafiltration, DNA extraction, and protein purification. Her research focuses on collagen-based biomaterials, antimicrobial studies, and natural bioactive compounds for biomedical applications.
